Circuits
Inspect logical circuit lineages, immutable captured states, exact diagrams, structural analysis, history, comparisons, and related executions.
Logical lineage and immutable states
The Circuits table is lineage-oriented: one row represents a logical circuit family, while the inspector exposes its captured immutable states and provenance relationships.
- Ordinary observed mutations can produce a next immutable state in the same lineage.
- Supported copy/compose/tensor/parameter-assignment operations can create derivation relationships without treating simple Python aliases as new circuits.
- Transpiled output circuits are treated as compiled artifacts rather than separate logical-circuit rows.
- Source navigation attempts to reopen the recorded notebook and cell when durable source information is available.
Diagram and structure analysis
The Circuit inspector follows the selected immutable state. Its diagram and metrics update when another state is selected.
- Interactive circuit diagram with zoom, active/all wire controls where applicable, layer navigation, wrapping/large-circuit handling, and full-screen viewing.
- Circuit Structure Profile using Program communication, Critical depth, Two-qubit ratio, Parallelism, Liveness, and Measurement axes. Higher values are not universally better.
- Advanced analysis grouped into resources/operations, dependency/critical path, qubit interactions, parallelism/utilization, and dynamic behavior/parameters.
- Interaction-load evidence can surface heavily used qubits and interaction pairs when the analyzer has the required data.
Circuit history and comparison
Circuit history presents captured states in a human-readable sequence while retaining the underlying provenance graph. Any available circuit state can be selected as a comparison target.
- Parent/child comparisons show structural changes such as depth, two-qubit count, interaction changes, and operation deltas.
- Independent circuit states can also be compared; the UI labels these as structural differences rather than evolution.
- Optional side-by-side diagrams load on demand.
- Matching structural digests or similar metrics do not prove functional equivalence.
